Newborn Care Specialists ease the transition into parenthood by nurturing and caring for the newborn while assisting new parents in learning how to care for their infant.
The Newborn Care Specialist will establish eating and sleep schedules that fit the family's lifestyle. She can often have the newborn sleeping though the night by approximately 8 weeks of age. She will provide nurturing and stimulating care, while expertly interpret and respond to the baby's needs.
Newborn Care Specialists focus on the newborn and are not usually responsible for housekeeping or caring for other children in the family. She will perform the following care: diapering, bathing, feeding, establish a sleep routine, engage infant in activities and organize the nursery.
